Can anybody give me info on margin requirements for writing calls.
1. with a futures contract in positon 2. with stocks of the permitted lot size in position. 3. details of margin requirements across various brokerage houses. Thanks in advance to anyone who can share the information. |

the margin are same as futurs margin.. most brokerages use span margin.. the lot sizes can be found on NSE-INdia.com

Thanks Sankoorikal,
Your reply cleared all my doubts. I have one more query regarding options. At present the nifty nov series is quoting at 3550CE@ 180. 3700CE@ 86. Now, if i buy a call at 3550, Can i write a 3700 call without providing additional margin. Will my total outflow be (180 - 86) = 94. i;e can i opt this strategy by paying only 94. Thanx again. |

Dear sir,
If we write the option definitly can we repurchase ( as intraday trade) the option before expiry? or our premiem only lost? pl.explain. regards, naren |
