Today there was a heavy tug of war between the bulls and the bears. Nifty failed to cross 8060 for 3 times till 1 PM. Once the volume picked up Nifty surpassed the 7 days high of 8080 and managed to close above 8100. The bulls won the match for the second day in this week. Today NSE witnessed the highest daily turnover in Dec with huge volumes. Tomorrow also there is a possibiliy of nifty to inch higher as it is the last trading day of the year.
Next week will be a volatile week as we can see more call and put options will be written starting tomorrow. We can expect the 3rd quarter earning session starting from 3rd week of Jan. The most probable range of nifty in Jan is 7750 to 8300. Huge volatility can be seen in that week due to additional contribution of Trump's presidency takeover on 20th Jan.

The Year 2017 dawns on Sunday when the whole world relax and rejoice. We are also going to have midnight party and celebrations as we feel out of the grips of bear. (Rather bears have gone for celebrations allowing us some time to relax). 8185 is the closing number. Just multiply 7945 by 103%. You get this number. 7945 was December 31, 2015 closing. Sentimentally we have a satisfaction that 3% growth is achieved in nifty. There could be few winners and mamy losers. Let's resolve that 2017 we will make money not by hook or crook but by more interaction and listening to others. Thid applies to one and all. We are all learners. Let's have a meaningful relationship and money flows automatically. Maha kavi Subramanya Bharathi says - Worship Goddess Lakshmi. Perform your duties diligently. Dont bother about yields. Sit and enjoy. Everything will flow in perfection! - What a great poet he was! Let's lead our trading in Bharathi way!

Dear Friends,
Since Jan 2007 till Jan 2016, The calendar year’s first trading session of Nifty has closed on positive side nine out of ten times.
Only in 2014, The Nifty closed on 01/01/2014 with a minor - 2.35
Of course, we cannot read anything to it. Because,
if the longs would say that, historical evidence is on its side,
Shorts would say that, Law of averages is on its side.
Anyway, here is the last ten years, First session results.

Jan 2007 Nifty gained 41.00 points on the First trading session

Jan 2010 Nifty gained 31.15 points on the First trading session
Jan 2011 Nifty gained 23.10 points on the First trading session
