Sorry for the late reply. Checked the sheet... its fine. Seems like there are a lot of mouthwatering opportunities out there, but also check for volumes. Sometimes, you may think an opportunity exists, when actually there is not volume in the near month, or far month futures.

Thanks for replying. What abt Liquid counters? Im sure Volume will Exist on a later date. Ivan il ask u something. I hav been reading quite a lot of manulas of Fututres. But im not clear on a few things. like When take a future position iv to provide with a margin and then it is Adjusted regularly on the basis of closing price ie Marked to market right? Do i hav to pay any Interest to the Broker or any body for providing me with the Leverage?

Hi Swagat,
When entering a position you have to pay the Initial margin. This can be in the form of securities or cash. This is to ensure that the counterparty to the transaction does not suffer in case of your default. The Intitial margin for each contract can be found on the NSE website.
In addition, the daily Mark to Market is levied as and when your position moves against you. If the position moves in your favour, your account is credited.
Since you are putting up the margin, you dont have to pay any interest to the broker.

I'm a novice in this field. Can anybody tell me how one can make money safely by using arbritrage. Plz explain in detail. Thanks for the help in advance.
