You can buy and sell futures like any ordinary share , the only difference being there is no question of delivery. The trade is either squared off or expires.

Your question is vague. Pls be more specific. What technical terms are we talking about?

If you are a beginer, better try your hand at cash market. That too only longs and not shorts. Longs only in good quality A group shares and not in some T group or Z group shares. Trading in future market means taking a highly leveraged bet. This is not at all advisible to a beginer in stock market. You will never understand where you have gone wrong. Even before knowing this, you will be out of the market with huge losses. I am not scaring you my friend. I am just giving this free of cost advise (rather a very sincere advise) for your safety. If you still desire to have a go at futures market, just do the paper trading and see the result. Not one or two paper trading, but paper trading consistently for a period of three to four months.

i too agree.
if he has given info about a few scrips and then along with it suggested any further help, clarification can be obtained from him, that may sound moderate.
may be after reading members objections, he will prove his bonafides and amend.

Dear Deependra

About Commodity Futures mkt :

1.Its A Financial Contract
2.A tool used by Investors, Hedgers, Arbitrageurs, Day Traders, etc..
3.The underlying commodity is bought or sold at a future date.
4.Additional Investment opportunity
5.Low Margins – High leverage for traders
6.Hedging/ Arbitrage opportunities

As Most of them have said before , its notadvisable to get into futures when u are fresh and at a immature stage of trading.
I would advise you to get yourself detailed on the above said points and calculate your risk appetite , as well the advantages / disadvantages .
Paper trade , prepare yourself and look for medium term oppertunities which these markets can provide you . coz short term and long term oppertunities are to be meant only after lot of analysis and experience.

i have given u explained u interms of commodity futures as i am a hardcore commodity & forex trader .

Pls browse thru www.ncdex.com and www.mcxindia.com for a detailed learning.

All the best ..happy trading .
