Default Can an NRI trade in Derivatives?

hi
I am an nri looking to open an online trading account. As i understand, nris r allowed to invest only thru PIS(potifolio investment scheme) which has several restrictions like no intraday trading , restriction on the companies we can invest in and also derivatives. But i have got a lot of contradicting info about trading in derivatives.
My question is
Can a nri investor trade in derivatives like futures and options?

Any feedback would be really appreciated
thanks

Non Repatriable means, the money invested in the india can't be taken out of country.
whereas Repatriable means you can take back the money to your country.

Coming to NRI trade in derivaties, neither ICICI nor Geogit allow you to do so.
I think Networthstock allows you to do on non-repatriable basis.

Here is the link about their charges

In some of the threads you can find about networthstock.

Another good broker is "navia". Go to naviamarkets.com You can then open account in UTI bank and trade. Of course on a non repatriable basis.

You can invest in derivatives through NRO account and it is non repatriable basis.

However upto USD 200,000 can be repatriated for foreign investment by submitting necessary documents to the government
