What Does Cross Margining Mean?
An offsetting position where market participants are able to transfer excess margin from one account to another account whose margin is under the required maintenance margin.

i don't think any broker in india provide this..

the cross margining refers to a position where the margin requirements in the derivatives market will reduce if you hold stock in the spot market.

it offsets your futures positon if one has a position in cash
suppose i have 300 relience in cash n i short 125 futures of relience i will be charged only for 175 futures by the exchange.
this rule is also applicable in index fno.
this cross margin facility was started by the exchange in 2009 but i still cant find a broker who provide for the same.
pls help
