Can nifty be in ban period?

Dear traderji users, I have a question.

1.Since the no of futures contract on a particular script depends on the free float of the underlying stock, what is the market wide position limit on Nifty?

2. Can Nifty ever go to ban period due to positions crossing 95% of limit?

For Derivatives based on Index there is no limit, hence it cannot be in a ban period.
