If you permit, I can post some documented charts from my journal.

I have in my journal quite a few charts from the past 3-4weeks on Nifty Fut.

A lot of them have shown good trading set-ups, (but as you pointed out, the Risk reward has not been favorable due to my incorrect choice of a higher time frame)

I have experimented with 5m time frame 20m & 30m time frame. Started using the 10m OR from today.

My journal has been documented on the basis of 30m OR, if you feel any of these recent charts can can help, I can dig out and post some charts to illustrate some actual trading set-ups that have recently occurred (and failed as well) especially the Pivot Range concept alongwith A-Up/A-Dn levels.

The past couple of days have also seen the once in blue moon setups of A-Dn & C-Up on a single day, but surprisingly this highly profitable setup has failed twice and resulted in losses. (Again this maybe due to my incorrect choice of time-frame, I am not sure on this)

Regards
Amar

You are welcome to post any thing releated to trading especially ACD, no need to permission, it will definately help us .

Hi Dumdum,

Do you have any suggestions for the A & C Values for commodities especially gold ?

Mark says the A&C values for commodities is different, what would be the best values to use for our Indian market ?

What are your thoughts on using the time stop, is it relevant in today's mkt conditions ?

Cheers
Amar

Dear Dumdum.

I have been following your ACD system from the other thread and trying to understand, but with limited success. Can you please tell me what A & C values stand for. I was waiting for your new separate ACD thread to be started. Many many thanks for your effort. Keep it up.

regards

Quoting from the Book : The Logical Trader :

ACD is the name I have givem to my trading methodology which can be applied to any Commodity, Stock or Currency as long as there is sufficient volatility and liquidity. The basic premise of ACD is to plot particular Price Points, which we will discuss in depth, in relation to the Opening Range. I have traded ACD for 20 years and still use it today. I've taught it to thousands of other people over the past 15 years who in turn have adapted it to suit their own trading My point is that ACD has a proven track record, not only for me but numerous other professional traders. Therefore it can be incorporated into your trading system to help you plot out and execute your trading strategy..........................................
.......................... Based on the opening range , the "A" point to enter a long or short position is plotted above or below the opening range based on set variables. These variables are based on our own properietory research, the process of which I wont share with you except to say that the ACD values are based on the volatality measurement of a particular stock, commodity or financial derivative. (Please see the Table in Appendix that gives the "A" value for several Commodities and Stocks, along with the current opening range time frames.

Do we have the parameters to measure the "A" point for NF and also the Opening Range time frame suitable in present scenario!!!!??????
