One person was killed in seven blasts that rocked Bengaluru and its outskirts on Friday afternoon. While four low-intensity blasts went off at Nayandahalli, Madivala, Adugodi areas on the outskirts, blasts also rocked the tony areas near Mallya Hospital, Langford Road and Richmond Circle in Bengaluru city. Two blasts were reported in Madivala.

Although the police have not yet been able to ascertain the cause of the blast, reports suggest that it may be an act of terror.

The first blast took place at Madiwala check post which incidentally is behind the famous Forum Mall, one of the leading shopping destinations in Bangalore. The second and third blasts took place at Nayandahalli and Adugodi both on the outskirts of the city.

Initial reports suggested that the blasts were low intensity caused by gelatin sticks, normally used for quarrying and mining.

Several persons have been injured in the attack and they have been admitted to the St Johns Hospital in Bangalore

Further details awaited.

Bangalore: Five low-intensity blasts rocked Bangalore on Friday afternoon killing one woman and injuring several people, initial reports said.

Additional Commissioner of Police, Bangalore, Gopal Hosur confirmed that one woman has been killed in the blast.

There have been 5 blasts. One lady has died in the blast so far. There has been no damage to the property," Hosur said.

The first blast took place at Raja Ram Mohun Roy circle at around 1320 hrs IST.

The explosions shook Sirjapur Road, Nayandhalli, Madiwala checkpost, Adigudi, Rajaram and Raja Ram Mohan Rai Circle.

All the blasts took place with 15 minutes of each other.

Bomb disposal squads have been rushed to the blast sites and telephone network have been jammed to stop the spread of rumours.

According to the police gelatin sticks were used in the blasts.

Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar M Bidari said, "We are monitoring the situation and request all residents to continue with their normal routine. The bomb squad and explosives experts are on the spot. We will deal with the situation."

All the injured have been taken to Mallya Hospital.

Sad... but true...

What CNBC shows is LTP (Last Trading Price).NSE's website gives the Daily Settlement Price, which is correct.

Any particular reason why you want it to be there? If its to sort weed, well, you are unlucky. Why dont you start one in the Derivatives category just as well and later move it over?
