PLease help with F&O

#1
Hello,
As a investor in the stock market I would really like to know exactly how to trade in the F&O segment. Can any of the senior members please provide a series of tutorials on the F&O rules regulations etc. ? My broker cheated me recently when I tried to trade in the F&O segment , making me pay for mark to market losses though I had more than enough margin. It was only after the experience that I learned brokers cant do that unless I square off my position. So please someone help this novice with a detailed explanation of all the rules ( what is the margin req, when I need to pay the broker if I have suffered a loss in my trade etc etc). Any links also wld be appreciated. I just want to know. I am being ripped off by my broker :(. With a 3 mn Rupees portfolio I am not allowed to trade in F&O :(

Dear,
let me introduce as 'experienced in F&O' .

First Stop dabbling in F n O untill u learn the tricks of the trade.
Second u shift to a reliable broker.-reputed and online.
do not continue to go to a broker who trades for u through his proproitorial
chaneel.
what do you do for a living?
u can write to me through this channel.
u write me the brilliant FnO spark that strikes u and I will writeback. But do not trade untill u r sure that u have required information and ability to shift chaf from the grain.

If you have been cheated by your broker and you have the related documents that would prove the same, then you can very well complain SEBI and they will take a strict action againts your broker. The mrket regulator has become very vigilent and has punished brokers who have followed malpractices.

I just found out that the NSE provides a trade verification facilityon its site and SHAREKHAN HAS BEEN PROVIDING ME WITH FRAUDULENT CONTRACT NOTES ALL THIS WHILE . THE TRADE NUMBERS THEY HAVE BEEN PROVIDING ME WITH ARE ONLY 5 digits AS OPPOSED TO THE NSE 15 DIGIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why do u want to complain? did not the broker return your money?
If he has not returned your money u may first complain to local exchange.
but all that if you have trading account with the broker- Do u get contract notes atleast electornic version?
Without contract note u stand no chance of hearing by the regulator.

What are you guys talking about? RELAX!

1. MtoM is adjusted everyday at the end of the session, even if you dont square off your position. So no one is cheating you there.

2. Many times brokers save space and omit the date time field and give you the number only e.g. 200706273691xxx
they can remove 20070627, the trade done on 27jun2007. post your number with date of trade and see if we can find the full one. and why dont u mail support of sharekhan?

thx

They wont do anything so obvious to you, amritabasu.

Are the prices mentioned correct?

generally brokers have other ways of cheating clients, and i dont think sharekhan would do something sooo stupid

They may suddenly take away something from ur dp, etc but the type of cheating u mentioned......would be caught too easily
