Margin Requirement
dear all,
i do trading in option, my trading a/c is with icici and religare. if i sell nifty call or put of strike prise of 4000 they demand margin of rs 40000 and if i sell nifty call of strike prise of 4200 and sell nifty put of strike prise 3900 they demand margin FOR BOTH ie 42000+39000=81000, however for both transaction at same time margin requirement according to margin calculator comes very low ie near to 40000 is any broking house demand margin according to margin calculator, pl guide me

Kavathiya,
Do they charge single margin on a straddle/ strangle or is it for 2 contracts like all other ignorant brokers ? Is brokerage competitive?
