Everything I am discussing, we have to do in ONLY SPAN Margin taking broker house to be in good profit.

Zerodha is not a good broker in that regard, as they are keeping Span + Exposure margin.

One can think of ASTHA trade & also IIFL.

Only deploy 50% of the capital. Rest 50 % to be kept for emergency.

Now what are the emergency to tackle with:

  1. Market Crash
  2. Market sudden Upmove or Down move
  3. High increase of Vega

Now strategies depend on the current Situation.

Like where is INDIA VIX now..

If in the range of 11 to 14; Control Vega. DO not short PE.

If in the range of 15 to more than 17- good time to short, but Vega may go up.

If VIX more than 18- perfect time to short both CE & PE.

Another observation:

Market keep in Trend 20% of time, keep in sideways 80% of time.


Also most of the option expire worthless.

Can not we utilize both the facts mentioned above.

Subhadip Da, from my observation, VIX is not sufficient indicator for writing options.
It is very laggy and low.
Another measure is needed to concentrate on if we need to bank on IV.
Fpr eg. BN Vega is different from VIX movement.

No no, VIX is not atall indicator.

Just an observation. That -do not sell PE if VIX below 17....

Give me some time sir...as was busy in a meeting full day yesterday, also two more days...

will update about strategies.. four strategies...to tackle the all situation.
