Dear shareparthi

Thank you very much for your response. But I used LTP with gann calculator earlier.i lost many trades and small win I got.so again I trade with vwap price with gann it gives some average profit but not great.any method witch gives more profit than lose?i have been trading from july'14.
Some month results I have given below.its real trade only not paper trade.I am trading in icicidirect.all the results after brokerage deduction.
Ex:
Oct'14-Rs1200lose-180 trades with 2652 theory.(it gives profit but not great).
Nov'14 -Rs3000 profit-65 trades-gann with vwap
Dec'14-Rs22000 lose-78trades-gann with LTP.
So lose so for Rs.220000.and brokerage Rs.144000.so total lose Rs.366000.
So any profitable intraday method?.because I have to recover my lose.

Regards
Mmohanar

If u coincides this with time it will be more profitable
use 1/2 hour time frame or 1 hour time frame for this
ie calculate the Gann values for the opening price of the 5 min bar@ 11.00
This is valid for 11.30 only . and so on....
The T1or T2 for Gannvalue is achieved within half an hour . Use trailing SL to make decent profit.

Note : 1.If U have unlimited brokerage plan every 1/2 hour u get profit
considerably .
2. PaperTrade first for a day and then enter .

Thanks
Looks to be a good strategy. Please provide more detail preferably with an example.
Thanks

1icicidirect is not for traders. change broker to zerodha or with unlimited monthly plan.

2.use amibroker or metastock

3. try afls with traling stoploss

Dear shareparthi,

I'm trading in equity not in commodity. target not achieved in 1/2h or 1h timeframe. But tragedy looks great. What should I do if target not achieved within timeframe. Shall I close even if it is in lose.

Default Re: trading with gann calculator

The better way to trade using Gann is to use that in the Indian Market context. I do a rough calculation on intraday prices using this:
a. No. of trading hours 6.25
b. Inverse of that is 0.16 (for every 1 hr)
c. Max trading range 0 to +3.125 and min trading range 0 to -3.125
d. multiply 0.16 with the max or min trading range value.
e. Add that to the square root of the opening price or opening index.
f. Get the approx. day range and trade using your discretion.

All the best.
