Suffered loss.... How to control greed

Hi All,

I am a new trader and started trading from December 2013.

I started my trading account with 1 Lac Rs. and by following my broker's calls, I made a profit of 60K in the last 7 months.

His calls were excellent that made me overconfident and thought I am a smart player and can create wonders on my own.

From past one week I started ignoring his calls and the basics. Today, when I calculated my capital, I found that I've suffered a loss of 30000.

The greed and complacency has ruined me.

Has this happened with some of my friends here?

How can we overcome the immense greed and the excitement in the stock market?
