I used to do that. I realized that one has to be very nimble and attentive with these trades. So, suppose you buy 500 GVK @Rs. 11.20 with a target of Rs. 11.25, you have to be prepared for a reversal to Rs.11.05 or so. Therefore, keep a simultaneous order for "Sell Below" - e.g. sell 1000 GVK below Rs. 11.15 + 1 order for Buy 500GVK @ Rs. 11.10.. just to cover the reversals. It's complicated and you should take such trades with only about 10% of your trading capital. The problem is that sometimes it gets stuck on a particular price and won't move for 15-20 minutes, and then maybe make sudden moves.

Now I and trying this sort of scalping in nifty options because there is always movement in nifty options - they are the most fluid scrips. With RKSV as the broker, the breakeven on a Rs. 30 option is 0.07. So you can buy @Rs. 30 and sell at Rs. 30.10 or higher.

My personal take......not saying one cannot BUT its damn tough to scalp !

Rather just play....with one stock and milk it out :thumb:

Play for days or months and you will gain...scalping is for algo-softwares NOT for Human BRAINS like us :p

@@Timepass__ ya u r right but what i observed that i we go short rather than long then it may give good results
It works both ways. It can zoom up as much as zoom down. And sexytrader is right in this case - it is the computers which really benefit from this type of trading in equities. Often you will see 1 share being traded back and forth for a small scrip like GVK.

Hi even im planning to scalp low price high volume stocks. What are the risks involved in this type of trading and are there strategies that could help me is trading ??

Im going to be using RK Global as my broker as they haved fixed brokerage

For eg. if i take KFA as the stock to be traded in .

Buy 1000 shares @ 9.8
Sell 1000 shares @ 9.85
SL : 9.75

Couple of questions on this front . I will be using the web based terminal.

1. what are the chances all of the 1000 shares would be bought and sold if i keep a limit and trigger??

2. How many trades are ideal in scalping?

3. Strategies - That is helpful technically?

4. If i increase volume how much of a difference would it make?

Thanks !!! :thumb:
