Optimum Investment Amount

If I have say 10000, which is the better among the following ?

- Trade in 4 stocks for 2500 each & pay more brokerage (due to min brokerage) but spread risk
- Trade in 2 stocks for 5000 each & pay less brokerage but take more risk

Is there any guideline to decide on the number of stocks to trade in a day ?

In general, I would go with `Trade in 4 stocks for 2500 each & pay more brokerage (due to min brokerage) but spread risk `

my opinion is first learn to trade wel by ppaper trading..then after gaining proper confidence..pick just one high confident stock and trade in it...u wil be in profit if u have proper trading knowledge and knowledge in risk involved..knowledge in risk can be gained by experience only..
