Trading Room in Chennai

#1
Hi

I have been trading from my Home for past couple of months now. Of late there are more and more disturbances, which really makes it difficult to have a peaceful atmosphere, to analyse charts, place orders etc

Difficulties are in-terms of:

- Kids, u all know how they wreck havoc
- Wife giving additional jobs since she feels that we are more free then her
- Maid
- Couriers
- Watchman issues
- Guests and Friends
- AMC people
- Milk money collection, Provisions etc
- Address enquirers etc
- Others like getting a call from wife asking me to go out and pick those clothes, which are being put outside for drying, as it may rain etc :annoyed:

Just wanted to understand how u guys cope with these kind of situation.

Do u trade in dealing rooms? If yes, how u ppl manage to look at charts? Do they give any dedicated PCs for u??

Pls feel free to share ur experience so that it may be useful for me/others

We seem to have found a solution and it seems to be working quite well. Six of us have rented a small office and use it for our trading activities including an occasional evening beer:lol: with all outgoings shared equally.
Works out to about 1500/ p.m. each.

How we met, we share the same broker and live in the vicinity.

Maybe you should look at the upsides of trading from home too.
:thumb: Well said...thanx for ur post

Iam eagerly expecting some more interesting view points from all others, like the one above..

Let each one of u put something here in this thread....it is not at all about strategies, MM, trade logs etc....its something abt logistics, how we work, environment etc, which i think, everyone wud undergo/experience even-though they just paper-trade/watch ticker..

simply pour ur thots here....though u may not have actually experienced it in real-time.

Friends,

What about the social status and recognition when we say we trade shares :) that too from home from the society, friends and relatives.

Thanks,

I would say that depends on wether you have a maruti 800 or a honda civic parked in your compound in your parking slot.

If you have a bike, then in their eyes you are a looser, and if you have a c class merc, you are one example of what they want to become.

Actually, if you are bothered by what people think, then your mind is shallow.

More than your neighbours, you need to change your own attitude
Trading is still not a well recognized profession.
Man is a social animal.
Money alone is not every thing.
Good job and financial status also counts.
Just trading alone in the house may be beneficial in certain ways but again the success has to be exhibited to the out side world so that one doesn't fall in short of others eyes.
It has nothing to do with my attitude.
Opinion differs and I don't see any reason to change my view.
