Here I am going to discuss about my own experience about my pc.After year of experience I have concluded, for a intraday trader it is necessary to have some knowledge on software along with TA.Types of threats .(i) Virus problem. (ii)Net problem (iii) Power problem(iv) Threat arising from natural climate.
You are quite aware about first three, hence let us see about last one. Particularly from June to October is dangerous period. Thundering may damage your system permanently .I have bitter experience with my Dells lap. Last year mother board of my laptop burned out due to thundering.Thoug it was under warranty ,but it took 3 months to replace the mother board. Hence it is better to use some protective measure .I have searched a lot and found there is no foolproof method on it or that available is very expensive ,no individual can afford it. Thousands of volts associate with thundering and a millisecond is more than enough to burn the system. The best way of protection is switch off the system unplug the power cord and net cable when you haired the first sound of thunder. In emergency at least unplug power cord run the system on battery, close ur all open position then close ur system. Use of lightning conductor and proper grounding is recommended but these are not sure cure .
Use of auto disconnector is also recommended. Another word of advise ,if u r using laptop, never try to repair its hardware, it is not possible to do so even u have technical background. Attempting so u will make it more defective and its repairing will cost more. Only manufacturer are authentic for repairing their product.
