daily back tested figures on 2652 theory of day trading

I have downloaded Excel Sheet from Dhiraj Thread which calculate the Trigger, Target and SL Price. My Excel Calculation showing different Trigger and Target

Prev. Day High - Low = 4889 - 4830 = Range 59 Point
Today High - Low (at 9.20am) = 4873.9 - 4842.3 = 31.6 Point

Applicable Factor is 0.7666 which is 45.23

So, Buy = Today Low+Applicable Factor=4842.3+45.23=4887.6
Sell = Today High - Applicalbe Factor = 4873.9-45.23=4828.6

Am I somthing Missing?

no my dear you are not missing any thing and your calculations are correct.

in my calculations i make some changes to make it more effective.

9:02 am high 4860 low 4842.30

9:06 am high 4871.10 low 4842.30

9:20 am high 4873.90 low 4842.30

9:40 am high 4877 low 4842.30

now if u look at smaller picture before 9:20 am u just get the accurate range.

now just go with theory buy signal is 4868 put buy stop order there wait for target of 4893 and book profit.
in condition buy triggers but target not acheived book loss at sell stop order or sell price .

Can you please elaborate your tweak little bit more? You taking High-Low at 9.02 am? Frankly I am confused now

that means -


Factor = C1,
If - Today range < C1 + 0.005 x Prev High


Factor = C2,
If - Today range < C2 + 0.005 x Prev High
AND
Today range > C1 + 0.005 x Prev High


Factor = C3,
If - Today range < C3
AND
Today range > C2 + 0.005 x Prev High




However, Buy/Short leves are based on original C1,C2... i.e. (Low + C1) and not (Low + C1 + 0.005*Prev High)


Use it and figures will come right.

I think you too are facing the same probs as Prahlad.
Use this excel sheet... it'll work.
I'm fetching data from falcon. you can input value manually.
This file will work for today. You don;t need to edit anything as such. However buy/sell levels change with scrips making new day high/ day low. You can change that in the column N and O under the head real time.
The last rate column wouyldn't work without the DE link. But that's not of any use, so simply disregard the errors in that column.

Dont be confused u just take high lows at 09:20 am and calculate.
