tcs dividend

Hi friends , I am very new to share market , I bought 20 tcs shares on 28/1/10 , am i eligible for dividend

IF TCS declare interium dividend u may be elgiable but not 100% sure

Record date for current dividend payout is 28-Jan. i.e. people who have stocks on their name on the night of 28-Jan. As settlement cycle take 2 days in India, you will be have this stocks in yr acct, not of 28th Jan but on 1-Feb.

Hence u will not get the dividend cause those stocks will not be on yr name today. Immediate impact of dividend is in terms of fall in the stock price to the extent of dividend.
