it may go 10% tomorrow, or may not, but what would do if it were to open 9.5% up?

I remember few weeks back when ABAN was up 25% in a single trading session, it had opened substanstially higher. Also, the price is rapidly marked up within the first few trades/ticks. You can do nothing much in that situation other can wish that you 'in' it. The news on that occassion was, i think, about deployment of 4 offshore rigs. The news was there all over finance portals like moneycontrol, rediff, yahoo, google, etc. but it had come after the market had closed the earlier day. Few guys here had touted that 'ABAN would be winner in the next session'. And it did happen. As i said, it was up 25% next day. Many people 'congratulated' that guy, but as i said, most of the people never got a chance to enter the trade as the price had been marked up even before they arrived on the scene. I don't know why people cannot understanding these basic things. This is precisely the reason they are looking for tips from various sources.

Since there is a word 'reliable source', i will tell you my experience about an incident.

One of my relatives is a terrific tips seeker. I am not in contact with him now, but 2 months back when i was, he used to literally spam my yahoo messenger with tips and calls from brokers and obscure sources.

On one occassion, he called me and 'tipped' me to buy a share. When i asked him about the source of that tip, he said that his friend who is a 'dealer' is executing institutional buying orders. I was not on the terminal at that time. When i returned home in the evening and took a look at the chart, i knew it was time to 'sell' and not buy because the chart was hsowing a characteristic 'upthrust'.

Beware, there are too many 'sharks' in this game.

rightly said bunny...there are sharks just to eat you....

in stock market when you hear about some tip and that too sure short then 95% chances are there that it wont work because it is already known to the masses like the thread starter....there will be many who already know from the same source....

these are manipulation of the market maker
