Request For Mechanical Trading systems

I am not a full time trader. I get 20 min around 10 AM and i can check in between every 1 hr for 2 min. I am looking for intraday mechanical system where i will have 10 stocks, place orders at 10 am, then check in between, by EOD out of 10, atleast 7 should hit target and 3 SL, then my nett would be 4. my target and stoploss are at equal distance. i will place stoploss limit orders along with target orders. by 10 am, i shold know my entry, exit levels by 10 am. based on yesterday hi,lo, close or DMA or any historical data. i will have excel or a program to calculate entry, exit levels base on todays open(optional).

i will not have time to watch charts, i cant sit infront of th terminal all th time. i can check in between. if any trade is triggere, i will place SL order (on my next visit).

this is like a machine. jst feed the orders and collect money from broker :). should have good hit ratio. i can do max 10 stocks, i need to do 10 because more chances of profit on an average and the day ends in profit in general

pl advice me with method and approach.

also is there any broker who accepts one basket order for stoploss buy order, target order and stoploss sell order if buy order is triggered. lets say buy at 100, target 101 and SL 99. i shoul be able to place all 3 at a time

thanks in advance.

hi rajendran,

i changed the title. lot of mistakes are hapening due to human elements (emotions, fear, greed etc) , machine avoids this. thats why i am looking for mechanical systems. but there is a human brain behin devicing the system. execution is mechanical, research is human mind. then u get best of both worlds

i heard in india they dont allow system based order placement. i need to go a sceen, select script, select blah blah and type enter. instead if we have scripts based order management system, things would be so easy . to gain as well as lose. lets say the broker teminal will have a tab where they will accept a csv or excel or xml or txt file with prediined data structure and they will place the orders into their system automatically . this reduces lot o heaache. broker can calculate the money requiements beore placing orders, they can reject orders if suiciant money is not there.

in many advanced countries they have this kin of interface and thy give to HNI, FII guys. they will talk system to system thru xml feeds. do you think a FII guy wanting to buy 100000 reliance stocks will sit in front of this kind of terminal and place orders?

why cant they extend that facility to retail investors? things shold be easy.

Hi Bandlab,

a) You Can Have Excel Sheet Feed But It Is Possible Only With Broker Terminals.

b) You Will Still Be Required To Scan For Stocks After Updating The Rates, That's EOD.

c) Yes, Facility Of Conditional Orders Is Available On Broker Terminal Both In ODIN & ORION, Meaning If Your BUY Order Is Executed Only Then Your S/L Order Will Trigger.....Same Is Possible For Taking Of Profit.

Now Coming To A System (Somebody Will Need To Test It For Efficiency)

1) Strong Uptrending Stock To Be Bought A Little Above Previous Days HIGH & Normally S/L Would Be LOW Of Previous Day.

2) A Strong Uptrending Stock May Have A Days Reversal & Buying On Trend Resumption Following Day.

3) A Stock Which Has Moved Up Very Fast & Entry On Retracement.

4) A Stock With Expansion Breakout.

Entry For All The 4 Points Above Is The Same BUY At Or Little Above Previous Day's HIGH & S/L As Previous Day's LOW.

Depending On Your S/L If It Is Variable & Do Not Want To Follow Previous Days LOW Or Little Less You May Workout Position Sizing.

This Should Prove Fruitful In A Trending Market

Bandlab,

I Have No Idea About TT Advance, I Am Talking About Actual Broker Terminals Having Either ODIN Or ORION, Another Thing A Lot Of The Dealer's Don't Know All The Functionalities Of The Terminal, Therefore It Would Be Better To Speak To A Dealer Head Who Knows The Whole Shebang, Or Else It Is Easier For Them To Say It Is Not Possible.

Excel Needs To Be Prepared In A Particular Format, Not Sure But I Think It Requires To Be Saved As .CSV
