How is intra day trading done?

#2
you buy stock any time in market and sell that same day, that is intra day trading,it does not matter whether you have profit or loss, only matters that at closing you dont have any stock in your hand

Thank you for the information - just a few more - if you can kindly address

1. Do I need to have a special demat account or can i do this through ordinary account ? Currently I am using ICICI Direct ordinary demat account

2. Can i trade all the stocks within the BSE/NSE indices or I am limited to a limited set of stocks

3. Is there a different fee structure for daytraders

Thanks

Intra means internal of something. Thus intraday means trading in a day. In intra day trading brokerage is low in comparison to the delivery. But it is risky trading and usually results in loss. It is a simple trading and u can do it easily if u feel that share is going to jump or fall in the day enough to cover ur brokerage.

1. not a special demat account but a special trading platform where you can see realtime nse/bse data.. like software based terminal odindiet, powertrade, etc..

2. for margin, you can't trade all scrips. but for delivery based (buy-sell) you can trade all scrips.

3. intraday brokerage is lesser, depends on brokers. most are like 0.05% on sell side.

Hello

Can any one tell me how intraday trading is done.

THX
Amit
Long story,Amit if you are asking about the strategies, the mini-nuances,etc etc.......for a start,do browse around and take that first step in educating yourself.

Baby steps for now,........

But it is risky trading and usually results in loss.
My friend, try to do neuro surgery without any training, and you will risk your patient's life and yours as well.;)To the expert neurosurgeon, neurosurgery is not risky, and losses are not usual.....happens,but not"usually".

It is a simple trading and u can do it easily if u feel that share is going to jump or fall in the day enough to cover ur brokerage
Although strategies have to be simple,etc......not easy at all.

Lots to be learnt,my friend.......for now, don't worry about easy,risky,usually,etc.....focus on the job at hand and take the first step.
