Day Trading is it worth ?

Would you plz elaborate,i feel this valuable aspect has gone over the Head of many of us.:D
It's the countertrend bounce. They do occur at expected levels most of the time but when the trend is very strong sometimes they do not manifest in EOD charts (& even if they do, often they are practically untradable based on EOD signals) However, they can be quite substantial on an intraday chart. This is where i think daytrading has an edge (in terms of returns) over other trading forms.

As far as the 'trend' is concerned i think it's better played with Swing/Positional (specially in a mkt that is highly prone to gap-ups & downs).

And with a part of your (well-in-profit) Swing positions still open and acting as a hedge + short holding period (+ options allowing you to take positions close to the ST worst-case levels + IV/HV based stops) such countertrend trades can be pretty low-risk (doesn't mean off-course they'll be fruitful & go as planned everytime).

I actually stopped playing PC games after I started trading (many years back).

1] its more fun. 2] its with real m0ney.

only difference is, in pc games..you have control over game ...in trading u dont have any control over it..but can always change position & join hand with people who were your apponents just a minute ago & can reverse again if the current is against you.
I must confess, nowadays feelin more like a subordinate:mad::mad::mad: to the sys.

generally momentum stocks are suitable for day trading.

According to Ashwani Gujral high beta stocks should be chosen.

a lot of people go for inexpensive stocks with high volume.
Illiquid stocks like MRF etc should be avoided.

Also stocks like RIIL(which hovers between higher and lower circuit) should be avoided.

How does one select stocks to do day trading? Is there any logical method? Pl advise
