Default Any software for Linux System

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for Community manager for making this website.

Is there any Free software for Linux system or windows system, which can be connected to live NSE Feed and store all the data like Per minute trading session, in database like mysql etc.

is it possible to get the whole day activity of stock in excel format. Instead of Graph.

Thanks & Rgds

Dear Jai,

Welcome to the forum.

Check out BlogTrader, it is platform independent, and is open-sourced, current version retrieves NSE intraday quotes from ***** but 15mins delayed. You may download it from here : - http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...roup_id=152032

For more details : - http://sourceforge.net/projects/humaitrader/

All the best,
Regards
Siva

Hi Jhai,

Agreed, NSE quotes from ***** are realtime.

But for me, NSE quotes in BlogTrader are delayed by 15minutes, same for intraday charts. Let me rephrase it; BlogTrader will keep fetching data for another 15minutes evenafter market closure. Check it out. If you have/found a workaround, please post it here. I love this software.

Regards
Siva

Default Re: Any software for Linux System ( NSE Servers IP ADDRESS and Port )

Hi Siva, (! shiva Mistake )

I have installed your software its amazing one ....The graphs are very good.

Problem i faced was timezone, there is no option to change .. i guess

Can't we connect blogtrader to NSE Servers directly. and get the real time feed...

If you have the ip address and port number please send it ...

My Background:

I am doing trading from past 3 years. Basically keep the share for long time..and sell it when i have profit.

Now i want to do intraday. But needs lots to data to analyize. Some extend want to do some automation in buying and selling with stop loss etc..

I just got this portfolio tracker to keep keep a watch on my curreny holdings...
Its nice and clean... I combined siva's nse-bse list with it and it runs great...
Great software for picking out intraday stocks... Still learning...
Its not free though... Comes for around 750 bucks...
http://rpgware.22web.net

There's also another called linuxtrade, which is also not free... http://linuxtrade.rkkda.com/, But to buy that I think one has to email the admin...

Besides for technical charts... I use aiotrade... which is free... but Java makes it very slow... I have tried other free alternatives like Qtstalker, etc. and they plainly suck...

Maybe for stock markets its better to rely on non-free software
