Most depend on data from some ***** groups. Other use NSE Bhav copy to get the data. The people who buy the data may be in minority. Karthik

hi,
most dependable is NSE bhav copy, updated at about 5:00 PM on each trading day. next best source is ***** groups BSE-NSE. this data is also free. the fields of information vary slightly, but metastock compatible. any TA program may make it compatible with either or both of the above sources by user selection or with standard metastock format. for conversion of NSE bhav copy to metastock format, we have free converters available at the software section. for intraday data, on a one time basis, one can use the coolworks just posted in the software section. if anybody is aware of a free & live intraday data source ( say 1 Min or 5 Min), please post it here for the benefit of all. murthymsr

i referred to getting live data for stocks/indices at 1 or 5 min intervals for use during the market hours for TA purposes. the other source (again 1 min or 5 min) at the end of the day for study purposes, i remember is available, and the reference may be searched in the software/data sources sections. as i did not use them, i do not have more info. about intraday data (Tick to tick) after market hours (Not Live) mentioned by you : i did not know/use any source and i never felt any need for it. all the best. murthymsr
