NSE calculates the CLOSING price based on the weighted average of the last half hour of trading whereas ***** gives you the last traded price.

Both are equally reliable. Just make sure you don't mix up the two data for a single security.

If you really should know

Tata Steel 's close price as per ***** is Rs.395.30 but as per NSE is Rs.396.10.

The following sites use 'CLose' price (rs.396.10) for their tech analysis
Indiabulls.com
Capital Market
CNBC-TV18/Moneycontrol.com
*********
Moneypore.com
Financial Express
IndiaInfoline
Sharekhan.com
Kotakstreet
HDFCsec.com
Economic Times

While the undermentioned sites use 'CLose' price (rs.395.30)
**********
ICICIdirect.com

So there, different sites use different close price.

For Analysis the NSE price is better since ***** represents last transaction's closing trade price which is normally not very representative.

Gentelman,
As i know, the NSE data are more authentic and mostly the closing price issued by NSE is Averaged price of Last 30 minutes, which can't be manipulated by any one. If you are sincire about TA, u must take NSE Clsing price. There are vast difference in *****'s Actual last traded price and NSE's clopsing price. Both will effect your results. At the end NSE Closing price is good and reliable.
Thankx
Haresh

Hi,

If you are using either PIB or ODIN you can get RT data into AmiBroker and MetaStock by my utility, FetchFromPIB (FFP) and FetchFromODIN (FFO).

You may find more thru www.asphost4free.com/datafetchers or can join DataFetchers ***** group for EOD Data of commodity or IEOD data of Gold, Silver and Crude of MCX.

Please feel free to contact me on DataFetchers@********** for more details if required.

Thanks
