Tool to dowload NSE EOD Data
I have written a tool to download EOD data from NSE.
Tool converts the data into ACII format automatically, So that it can be imported to MS. Tool can be found at http://www.codeplex.com/NSEBSEData

I have not tried it, but it's a great effort which I'm sure will be utiised by members.
The data format is standard and accepted by all charting software. It is a .csv file with the first line used for field names. The field names are Name, Date(MDY or DMY), Open, High, Low, Close, Volume, Open Interest(if availabe)
