get intraday data for free

i have developed a web robot and a excel web query file using which you can download intraday data in CSV format for free just download this query file which is nothing more than a simple text file, after downloading the file rename the file to query.iqy. start excel go to data menu---import external data---import data and then browse to the location where you have downloaded the query file and click open, follow the easy procedure after that. you need to specify the stock code in icicidirect.com format. you can get that by visiting the link https://secure.icicidirect.com/tradi...de.asp?Symbol=RE&ExchangeCode=NSE just replace the red letters by company name and you will get company code. after that you need to type yes if you want header info or no if you dont want header.
the procedure is simple if you do it right just once.

Dear xman thanks. but when i tried only the link with replacing RE with REL, it gave error message...

i guess you are looking for reliance energy, the code for REL with ICICIDirect.com is BSES. so replace RE with BSES. i am working on it so that you can use NSE code, however there are some problems which would be resolved soon, till that time you have to use ICICIDirect.com code.

Can your s/w backfill data if the computer is started late or put off for some time during trading hours?

i tried ur robot, all well

except i keep getting the error message

I tried your robot. I followed all the instructions as per your post. But at the final step after browsing to query.iqy and clicking open it asks for type of data - whether delimited or fixed with. Which ever I select the ultimate result id the parsing of the text in query file in columns. Nothine further happens. Any help?
