Lot of things happen inside a 5 minute bar:

- what was the volume traded on each uptick or downtick (institutional buyers or retail buyers). A real time snapshot of buying/selling pressure on prices instead of juggling indicators/oscillators. Just the 4 or 5 best quotes put up by NSE are, in my experience, from big operators before breakouts to deceive. The huge quotes will just flash, never meant to be traded.

-How was the price acceleration (while others are watching momentum indicators) in 5 minute bar - Bollinger/Keltner Squeeze direction for trading during trendless market.

-Multiple Time Frame switching (MTF entries/exits). Like entry/exit on 1 minute charts - instantly.

.....and so on.

The list is rather long. A kind of edge.

I'm happy many many others use viratech, stoxtrend, ***** etc. for daytrading. Good luck to them. Outfits like Iris don't even bother to respond when you ask them questions, forget about free trial. ***** data people can give free trial anyway, they are not paying to NSE anything.

I started this thread to gauge if we have enough users who can approach eSignal for earlier restoration of data feed during breakdown periods.
Not to criticise eSignal. This was only third disruption in last one year (365daysx24hours).

Hi Sudhir,
From your threads in this forum i could make out you are using eSignal realtime feed quite sometime.Recently i have subscribed for eSignal realtime data feed and using it with Metastock.I could find a remarkable difference.I have been using Viratech 5 min data feed till date.I could really compare them and eSignal is fantastic nodoubt about that. The only drawback i am facing is their symbol characters.Metastock is not recognising long symbol characters.I am not able to get the datas for those stocks sych as infosystch,Satyamcomp,Relcapital,Reliance,Tatastee l etc in futures. If you have any suggestions to transfer the datas from eSignal to metastock help me out and mail me.

My e-mail address is kayveeyes@*******.com
Regards,

Not working again today. Nse futures gone from 9:58 and equites gone from 11:58. On a day like this is really bad. Why don't all users here complain or start posting about this in the Esignal forum. If enough people complain then may be they will do something to reduce outages or atleast replenish the lost data later. Now they do not even bother to do that. Some collective action would be welcome.

Yes, probably the extra tick data load did it today, same thing happened on the last big gap down. Quotecenter to the rescue.

Hello ,

Subscribed to esignal recently for use with my Amibroker software. I am not getting the idex/stocks futures data without interruption. Lots of interruptions in getting futures ticks. There is absolutely no problem for the equities.

Anybody using esignal for amibroker faced/facing this problem? Any suggestions to tide over it will be highly appreciated.

Jovitha.

What are the charges of esignal for intraday futures data which can be fed to amibroker. Does we need to purchase any software also from esignal in addition to data feed charges?
