Does anyone sell Intraday data after market hours or even 1 day delayed at a reduced cost (1 min data, if not tick by tick)? I need this for researching, and I do not want Yahoo's data...rather someone who obtains it by paying the exchange.

Regards.

Yes Intraday data can be useful even for those who do not trade intraday.
Do you think that the Yahoo i-day data is not reliable?

dear kalyan,

a test by a reputed member in some other forum showed that a strategy that yielded 57000 points profit with yahoo data (for a foreign market, not indian) is actually 6000 points loss with reliable data. the cause attributed is that yahoo shows data points where trades never happened (or freak trades) that seriously distorts all test result.

regards

I'm also looking for the same - but free one. It can be delayed by any amount. Just need them for aiding in learning TA.

Previously Nidhi systems used to provide free IEOD for the past two weeks. But I wonder whether they'd stopped providing the same. If they are still providing, please give me the link.

Thanks,
Praveen.

i am pretty sceptical about free stuff...unless its the whole world (read linux) taking upon the practices of a behemoth.
as i said earlier i am looking for data from sources like esignal, stoxtrend, viratech etc...may be when i meet one of them next time, i'll give them this idea...
after mkt hrs they still have the tick data, min data etc but it loses its real time premium value...so they can resell it at lower costs...and this doesnt cannibalise their existing base also as serious guys who want real time data will always buythem...
they can always cater to non daytraders...who are looking for data to research...of course it has to be less than Rs 500 for two months, else I can get the CDs from NSE itself. T

The only problem is that data is available till Oct 06

Is anybody doing any project on nse or bse realtime backfill data and realtime price upgrade to amibroker or metastock from nse of bse servers? if not that is a huge oppertunity in it. as people easily paid Rs. 6000-7000 for one time or Rs. 750/ month onwords for subscription for realtime data update from yahoo server to amibroker or metastock. Yet in that softwares there is no facility to backfill the past data, Means if you miss the period of like 1 hour in between or start some time after market or in between your net connection disconnects, you can not get that periods data afterwords.

I would like to tell you that i have methods to get the REAL TIME NSE BACKFILL, REAL TIME BSE BACKFILL, BSE REALTIME CURRENT, REAL TIME YAHOO BACKFILL data. if you incorporate this features to your software or develop new one with these features youre the first player of its kind who have these facilities in its software and this puts you ahead in the race. If you would like to develop and market the software i would like to share the data retrival methods for sharing basis.

I again would like to note down that this is a high volume, very high profit business.

Thanking You,

PIYUSH PATEL.
