Yes. Rs 1500 on 1 Lot NF means 30 points a day or 600 points a month. Difficult doing that consistantly.

About 350-450 points a month is a good and achievable target in NF....about 1500 -2000 points in BNF. This is possible considering the current movement of the market.

Achieving any amount of success in the market is tough. In fact, the data says it is near impossible. If only one in a few thousand trader is somewhat successful, then that is indeed near impossible.

I have one friend who did the same. He set a small intraday target. But he failed for two reasons:

1) The expense ratio is very high. If strike rate is 50%, then per profitable trade will cost you 4 points. Meaning, if your target is Rs.8, then you are losing 50% of your profit even before it comes into your pocket.... a big problem.

2) One bad day can be destructive. It shook him out of his boots. He held beyond his SL (praying and hoping) but market moved majorly against. He stopped trading after a few weeks of disorientation.

All I am saying is, it is doable..... but a statistical aberration.

why BNF points 5 times more than NF, that is 100 points per day, it seems on higher side........

BNF Moves very fast and has larger swings. But as you said 1500 could be on higher side.

I was looking at a last 15 days trade report sent by someone. He is trading BNF hourly bars . Summary is as under :

9 May to 24 may possible trades(15 day)
Total trades =7
Loosing trades =2
Profitable trades =5
Positive occurrence (%) =71%
Negative occurrence (%) =29%
Total loss =25 points
Total profit =1043 points
Total gain=1018 points

But this performance may not be maintained on long period.
