Entry load is the commission that an investor has to pay while purchasing units of a mutual fund. This is a certain percentage that the mutual fund companies charges to meet its expenses. Certain funds have a similar kind of commission but is charged when the investor exits the scheme called as exit load. Similarly entry load is a kind of front-end sales load. Entry load will help retail distributors, the fund houses and banks to provide better advices to investors on which funds to buy and sell.
