Stock exchanges propose extending trade hours till 7.30 pm

Actually previous timing 10AM - 3.30PM was better but they changed in 2009 to 9AM - 3.30PM.

Neither SEBI nor NSE BSE officials trading in market.

But its Modi Govt. So FM Mr. Jaitley can do anything from change it to till 7.30PM or may be 24/7 Market timing also possible.

Bullshit ..

in my View, it should reduce the trading time. Trading is not 9 to 5.30 office job. After that u free to do anything.
We have to spend time for tomorrow market trading plan. Some of us have to start 1 to 2 hours earlier before market open to plan the intraday trade.

Most global markets are trading around 8 - 9 hours, India has the shortest trading hours of just 6.15 hours.

Actually it makes sense to ensure more time overlap with European markets than Asian markets.

10.30 to 7.30 looks nice.

9 to 7.30 will be an overkill.

which global markets are you talking about..... Most markets are 6 - 6.5 hrs trading session including US and China.

Even now 11AM to 2PM (3 Hrs) is boring time for most of traders in our market. Imagine what happened if this boring time extend to 7 Hrs.
