SEBI Guidelines to return Account Balance

I received a sms from Geojit that as per SEBI guidelines they will return the balance in the ledger on 24-12-2010

Does any other provider do this ? Why do they do it ?

Its SEBI rule so every one has to do .. This is to protect the interest of Investors...
Just Imagine , your ledger balance on their system is showing some figure BUT In real there could be nothing...If they have to clear a/c at end of every month then they need to have fund as well...

Dear CC,
Yes this is SEBI's new rule...anyway it's for help/protect investers...i think no problem in it....ahh yes we need to transfer fund again to trading:)...many brokers do this things on friday/saturday ...so client having noproblem to trade on monday transfer fund again on saturday....
