I am wondering how SEBI can come up with such a preposterous suggestion. Anybody with any idea on what the Underlying Basis would be for price calculation of the Futures Contracts after CM closes? I imagine THIN AIR.......No no we have GAMBLERS all around.....they will simply trade! Huh....

Yes SEBI because of you Exchanges are "Juya ka adda". Not going into the different types of hefty Taxes that you charge from innocent retailers, then you give broker/analyst/research license to "street banwaris" who don't even have proper technological infrastructure, and now this?

SEBI, your intentions are quite clear, like other Govt. agencies you just give damn to small-scale retail and want to churn out more revenue out of this. I wonder if this actually comes into effect, using NRML to keep Futures contract overnight would be extremely risky unless CM timings are also kept in tandem with the Futures which would be also very strenuous from trading perspective.

You know what the tragedy of our country is - Loud mouth with loud pockets always win and not the ones with Loud Minds!

Extending time to 9 am to 3.30 pm is OK.By having cooling period from 9.07 am to 9.15 am is not
serving any purpose.Merely the action is shifted to 9.15 am.Instead keep F&O market ,open from 9 am from 9.15 am.
F&O are derivative products ,based on individual equities.By having different times for Equity and F&O
products ,lot of more manipulation will take place. Both Equities and F&O will start and end at the same
time.

Voice your concern ,by voting above poll in great number.

Let's check the timings of some of "The Great Exchanges of the World":
1. NASDAQ
2. NYSE
3. LSE

No exchanges have separate timings for CM and FnO. It is ridiculous to even imagine forget approving for implementation.

Modern Exchanges are meant to be organized to encourage more participation from all aspects, not to create an opportunity for manipulations to raise institutional funds. Hypocrisy is deeply rooted in our system - SEBI/Exchanges/Brokerage. Lure with bikinis and then stab for wallet !

Can you name another instance, wherein, an Equity contract of an Exchange itself (BSE) being released into the markets as an IPO to be traded in the Exchanges of the same nation? Mind-boggling ..... it can only happen in India !

This is 2018 and in next 2 years we will complete 2 decades of this 21st century and look at us as a community compared to the world! Selfish, hypo- critic tea-stall heroes deluded by the mass-media! When will the so-elected responsible Govt. Chimps would understand that the privilege they enjoy is not earned but given to them by the citizens? When will the "chamchagiri" be replaced with "Logic & Reason"?

Pointless ..... bottom-line, you & I have no power ! These rats will do as per their whims .....

All these are new edge structural changes in line with other famous Global Market also.
Futures traded almost 24-7 except 1hr break.

See, currently, worlds most popular future contracts run 24-7. As Nifty is not on the list, there is a similar requirement.

CME GROUP is leading broker which is gaining tremendous popularity with 24-7 futures.
Their E mini dow is currently mostly traded future, NO 1. in the world.
The worlds no1 future trading time is 24-7 with a 60 min break.

Anyone like it or not in future ages future market is going to open 24-7 with few mins break.
Traders must be mentally prepared for that. Choose your comfortable time to trade or use the mechanical system. The choice is yours.

If Cash markets too are in sync with extended time then no issues else I am not too comfortable. But not sure why some people are against extending time for the cash markets but ok with Equity derivatives alone ?

Extending cash market for a longer hour has many problems like settlement issue.
All over the world cash market closes much early, there must be multiple reasons.
Future market is considered as the hedging instrument for the cash market. So, they want the future market to open 24-7.
The idea is taken from the Global developed markets. As India is emerging market and it is going forward to develop the market, hence such structural changes are about to happen.

When sudden work schedule change happen especially extending work hour most of the people will start complaining. Most of the traders who used to watch 6 hr market from start to end, they will obviously face difficulty in initial stages. But they will adapt slowly with the change of strategies.
Also, current voting 40-60 is in line with that thought.

Why not let the fish swim and not try to fly!

It is possible in US because Chicago Mercantile Exchange is a different entity than the Wall Street exchanges. CME F&O prices depend on the base underlyings traded in NASDAQ/NYSE but do not endorse them.

Make a separate exchange and allow FNO trading for 24/7 365 days - no problem.

But why mix up things? Bloody they cannot run an exchange without server issues every now and then (search Google for previous instances), gives broker license to Chintus with literal technological mayhem now wants FnO till 11:55pm. They simply want to generate more revenue, that's it!

Comparing US this with our country's infrastructure where corruption is deeply rooted, Govt. fails to provide basic amenities to its people - not bringing up literacy - is far too unimaginable.

What you are asking for is a far-fetched goal for India? And in the interim retail has to suffer, as institutions will be bailed out time & again by the Govt./Banks......... Period.
