Re: Feb series-Day6 ,NiftySpot:5326 (+56)

Hi Aditya,
Thank you.Things like Column Width,Number Format ..... can be changed
using a simple MACRO.But Background colour and Text colour involves
conditions.
Updated that SpreadSheet...... Have added a new Sheet called "Columbus"....... It would automatically format the cells for you..... You would just have to copy the desired rows from the Sheet "NSEData" and paste them to this new Sheet.....

However, don't do a simple Copy Paste...... Copy the data from "NSEData"..... Then in Cell B4 of "Columbus" right-click and under Paste Options select "Values".....

And don't worry about the columns for Bid-Ask.... Copy them too.... I have hidden these columns in new Sheet.... :)

As I am not versed with Macros.... Couldn't make it completely mechanical..... Can anyone automate the process to do the Copy-Paste Job as well...... :)

HI Aditya,

Thanks for the help before scheduled weekend.
I noticed that the HEADER should not be deleted. It should be left untouched.
Doing it completely mechanical is not necessary because the zones VARY
based on LTP and Total OI.

You may make whatever modifications you wish..... I have used Conditional Formatting to format the cells based on LTP and OI..... Even if you delete the header, Excel would adjust the formulas itself..... And if anything goes wrong, you always have the option to download the file again :)

Nice to see that many people are doing trading as per OI :)

Guyz, can u pls explain a little about this Range and how u determining this range like 4900-5300 or 4900-5400? I am not getting the point.
And one more thing "2 call option or put option windows is closed" what that means? is it "trading in that call or put is not done?

Thanks

Regards

Cross-Section of PUT and CALL windows.Blue region in this example.
Abnormal change in Total OI ,from lakhs to Millions give one limit.

If a strike is closed ,means no great trading interest or option price is less
than Rs.10,

Feb series-Day7 ,NiftySpot:5362 (+36)

The EFFECTIVE ZONE continues to be same at, 4900~5400.In PUT window
6 strikes are closed (4300~4800) and 6 strikes are open (4900~5400).In
call window just one strike is closed.(5700)

For EVERY 100 puts ,we have approximately 60 calls in Effective Zone.
Effective Zone plays crucial role ,since this moves in accordance with Nifty.

So, these calls have actually lost some value that can't be attributed to time decay !! Looks like a bear trap. I would be wary of buying puts, maybe betting on 5500CE would be safer.
Just like in previous series NIFTY is moving in one direction ,that is UPWARDS.
In that case even 5600CE is safer also.
