Opening 2 different databases simultaneously

Is there a way to open 2 different databases in same instance on amibroker? I want to compare EOD and Intraday movement of the same stock.

I don't want to open 2 different instances for this purpose due to certain practical problem.

Suggestion will be highly appreciated.

I am not sure whether you can open in same instance but if you open another instance you can keep two databases open. BUT it would create problem if you are updating live as there would be two BROKER.exe running .

may be possible but tricky one. may try realtime using manshi but i am not sure. . better use another software like chartnexus for eod

Open a blank chart for Daily timeframe and symbol link both the charts.. You can observe both daily and intraday timeframe of your choice simultaneously updated for the same symbol.

jd after opening a blank chart for an afl i could not return to my previous setting. wud u pls say how to do that

When am not able to pull data simultaneously in same instance from 2 diff. DB,either I am able use NSE Daily or ManshiRT. If I open a blank chart in NSE Daily and change DB to ManshiRT for this chart, the whole instance changes to ManshiRT only and vice versa.

Cannot use 2 instances also in this case a ManshiRT closes all other AB instances.

Do you know a solution for this situation?

it is never going to work...you can not open two database in same instance of Ami. if you need two database open two instance of Amibroker but then you can not update it live.

What other guy mentioned here and what you got from his post is totlly different.
He tried to say that if you have Intraday data then if you change time frame(click right button on your mouse and change your time frame.) on the same chart you can see daily chart as well . or you can do the same in new chart. BUT DATABASE IS SUPPOSE TO BE SAME. IF YOU WANT TWO DATABASE OPEN TWO INSTANCE. BUT THEN YOU CAN NOT UPDATE LIVE.

i also use manshi rt and for eod i use import metastock option. i am using trial version of amibroker . if u have updated metastock data then there is no problem i think. and i think dont try to use blank chart if u use various afl.copy paste it through analysis>formula editer.
matter is u want to see eod chart at the same time , keep open another software for that.

yes possible...run two amibroker at the same time..one for eod and other for intra...if the amibroker using for eod changes to intra..change the data base again for eod
