My Trades Today

I was bit worried about the Gap.I was skeptical to go long or short.Waited for a direction.

One more day of relative under performance.
i.e I didn't trade to the fullest of my satisfaction or I could have done better.
I should have utilized today's gap down for good entries.

I missed TS/DLF/HDFC watching simply doing nothing.

A.Went for two quick scalps in DLF
1Long - 221.85 - Exit - 222.30
2Short - 222.75 - Exit - 222.20

B.TS
Short - 636.85 - Cover - 635.75
Long - 638.50 - Cover - 638.25
Short - 638 - Cover - 635.40
Short - 636.15 - Cover - 632.80
Short - 632.50 - Cover - 633.90

C.LT
Long - 1618 - Cover - 1620.80
Long - 1626.50 - Cover - 1630.85
I should have waited here.It went to 1648 +

Gross profit - 4493.75 Rs / 9 trades.

Good Trades - 8.
Failure - 1.

Make sure not to repeat today's mistakes again tomorrow.

Day trading cannot be taught it has to be learn't.

It takes time to understand what day trading is.

I am playing my second innings after loosing my capital in 2005.

I am still learning and I recently started full fledged day trading.

So if you are new to markets first spend few months at least 6 of quality time in reading the Traderji posts before you start trading.

Most important thing is make sure your have the personality to do day trading.

Be specific in your questions and I will try to help you out with what ever knowledge I have.

My Trades for today
An excellent day for trading which I turned it into a disaster.

1.Option scalping loss - Exited 3500 Rs profit position at
2500 Rs loss.

Nifty 5700 Call - 30.50 Rs - exit - 28.00 Rs.

2.HDFC short - 648.20 - Exit - 647
I should have waited here.Very good entry but due to lack of patience with early exit I missed the profits.

3.IBRL - Long - 121.70 - Exit - 122.50.

4.IBRL - Long 119.10 - Exit - 118.30
Wrong entry and timing.

5.Loss in IBRL position calls - 6000 Rs.

I pray god that IBRL reverses tomorrow :annoyed:.

Net loss - 7700 rs

Lesson learnt - Importance of coping with intraday loss especially in the early trades so that it doesn't meddle with your emotions.

2500 Rs.

Mistakes done -

1.DLF entry was perfect exit - was in a hurry other wise today's high - 232+

2.IBRL - Entry perfect ,exit as usual - High 121+

3.Tata Steel - Trade no 5 - Early exit,Lack of patience and the previous trades frustration forced me to exit though knowing strong hands are long at 630.It was a break out and high 637

4.DLF trade no 6 - Wrong timing and entry.

5.HDFC irritated me to the core today for it was in a tight range and unfortunately I was caught in that counter today.
But in the close if I was patient enough again I would have earned more than the loss I made in HDFC.

Lessons - Don't have the mindset of positional targets of Nifty for day trading.Just because of the bullish bias on Nifty to 5630 level.I missed the closing shorts.

Hi Jagan,

Monitoring 8 scrips ,you may find it difficult.The chances of wrong
ENTRY / EXIT are more.Personally I prefer not more than FOUR scrips.
