Motilal Nasdaq-100 Taxation

N100 brochure says the taxation is as "Investment other than Equity Oriented fund’ (i.e. debt taxation with indexation benefits)".

What does this mean is simple English ?

Can someone please contrast the taxation on a index ETF (like NiftyBees) vs the taxation on N-100 for short (< 1yr) & long term.
