minimum holding period for bonus n splits

hi all

i wanna know if there is ne minimum specific time period that we have to stay invested in order to take advantage of all the splits n bonus in a particular share is or is it like even if we hav purchased the share few days back n if there is ne split or bonus in that share, we will get them as we are currently holding them.

To take advantage of SPLITS & BONUS u have to have the sahres in your account till the record date.generally the announcement is made earlier & then the record date is fixed,u have to have these shares in your account on the record date.
It is on these dates that the company gets the datails of holdings from NSDL & CSDL to determine the eligeable holders of shares
