I have been trading in stocks, would like to trade in commodities - what kind of funds are required? Say for instance I buy a contract in Gold, what would be the amount required to be maintained with the broker as margin for an overnight position?

    Thanks !

Hi All, I have a question, For commodity Treading, do i need to have
    1. Only commodity account
    2. Commodity + Demat account
    3. Commodity + demat + treading

if i am not taking any delivery at the end of contract (for commodity), then only commodity account would be enough to tread and i don't required any demat/treading account, please correct me if i am wrong.

    thanks
    Samit

I am replying my own question ( to help newbies like me with similar question)

For Commodity treading, you need only Commodity Account.

Demat account is important if you wanna deal with Shares and most brokers charge for Demat account (AMC)

I am Delhi base person , want to start trading in gold, silver and oil. It may be I.P.L. trading(i.e. intraday, positional and long term). Please tell me the name of good broker where I can open my account. In commodity future, money required is like that of Nifty future or full amount. Thanks in advance.
