Hello,

I recently opened a 2nd demat account. I have most of my shares with ICICIDirect.
I plan to transfer some of my shares from ICICI using e-instructions. I read from few sites including this one that einstructions has no charges if you use it for internal transfer ( vs gifts/sale etc ). One person confirmed same at branch but i guess she wasnt really listening. I didnt find mention of free internal transfer in ICICI official sites

So i tried to test a transfer by transfer of 1 share. As it turns out ICICI sent me a bill of Rs 30 for transfer of 1 share worth 500 :). Their charges are 0.04% with a minimum of 30
Basically, i plan to close account with ICICIDirect eventually as i just dont like them but dont want to transfer all in one go.

1) If anyone has experience with this, please confirm whether internal charges are not free.
2) If i transfer few shares say of combined value 1L, will the charge be on the overall transaction or per share?
