    Hi,

    How to calculate stop loss?

Is there any formulas(like 3%, previous low, etc) to arrive at stop loss or is it just an intelligent guess work?

    Thanks,
    Praveen.

    Hi there,

Friend there are so many threads where the stoplosses are discussed, so plz take the trouble of reading. Go through the threads of Saint - Teach a man to fish...to learn fishing in the markets and also by our super moderator Traderji. I would suggest you to read the posts so that you can get the whole idea about the stoplosses as well as gains.

    Cheers
    Gaurav

Ok Gaurav, I've taken the printout of the "Saint - Teach a man.." thread.
I will read it as the first thing.

    Gaurav,

I know that there are lots of information in this forum. But I find it some what difficult to dig out the relevant posts in "some" case. Hereafter I'll try my best to find the relevant post and if not able to find, only then will post my question.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.

    Thanks,
    Praveen.

    dear praveen,

it's good, that you got the point correctly. the prevous posts are posted by experts or corrected by experts and there will be lot of interaction and the final outcome of any discussion will be authentic.

it's very easy and to get immediate answer readily available at the top by posting a query. but if the person who is answering is one another inquisitive person like you, or a man with half knowledge like me, ;) then what will your fate be?

and may be you too will answer this question when posted by the next person. digging is difficult, but if you want diamonds and gold, they are not available on the surface. you have to do mining! :)

i posted this response in more detail than required with the hope that it will be read by many people in this forum with questions.

all the best in learning and trading.
