Firefox search for stock charts

#1
I've just joined in here but have followed these forums for quite some time. As a small thank-you, here is a opensearch search script that can be added to Firefox for search stock charts on rediff.com conveniently.

I personally find it useful for research as you just have to select any company's name inside your browser (firefox) , right-click on it , and see the charts from whatever page you are in.

To install,
1. download the attached file
2. rename it to rediffquote.xml (or anything with an xml extension).
3. copy it to the folder named "searchplugins" inside your firefox installation directory
4. restart the browser, and the search engine should be available in the list of installed search engines.

Tested on- Firefox 3.0.5 on Linux (Should work on other versions too.)

Hope it is useful.

P.S. actually it's even better with a firefox extension called "Context Search" which allows choosing the search engine from the context menu itself.

Interesting - I wasn't aware of this directory and xml files there. There is a firefox add on called 'Add to search bar' that is useful.
