For small investors when markets are very volatile..i say very volatile like now..futures and option may become weapon of mass destruction of your capital..try to avoid them..

2.DONT OVERTRADE
3.try to trade in equities during volatile period
4.trade with trend
5.follow techinicals and fundamentals
