Dividend Paying Stocks

#1
I am creating a portfolio of long-term, cash flow paying assets. Let me give an example

Suppose we buy a residential unit. We can expect a 2% return from rental income, that is inflation hedged. It is a dependable cash flow. A bank FD will give interest every quarter, but the real value of interest will decrease over time. Not so with rental income.

I want to use the same strategy for stocks/MFs. I am looking at stocks, MFs where dividend yield is 5%plus. On top of that there has to be growth in the stock. If I can achieve that, I have created an inflation hedged cash stream. Do you know any scrips with the following criteria -

i) regular dividend paying with yield >= 5%
ii) Expectation of growth. I am not looking at phenomenal growth, but steady growth.

I would be grateful for any help received. Also, please comment on my plan

Please recheck your list "SURI"

I checked Crisil. It is just giving 1.1% dividend yield as checked at Moneycontrol.
even Dr. Reddy is giving less than 1% yield...

Are you sure your list is giving 5%+ yield or just dividend?

It is just dividend. Calculating yield based list is very dynamic.

As per my observation, the companies which yield 5% dividend have projected dim growth.

To catch 5% yield companies, the markets should witness 2008 like crash:D

Keep the list handy, if you get a chance like that.:D

Southern Co (NYSE:SO) is America’s second-largest utility operator and a safe and solid stock for income investors because of its great return and the nature of its business.

The rates translate into a lot of money at Southern, including $17.39 billion in revenue at the end of second quarter of 2016. That revenue gave Southern stock an income of $2.397 billion for the same period.
