Complete list of all the scripts in BSE & NSE

Comprehensive list of scrips on BSE:

http://www.bseindia.com > Corporates > Active Companies

Unfortunately, it seems that BSE wants you to spend lots of time on its site, hence it does not provide the option to download it as a list!

So now I use the NSE list as most of the BSE stocks are listed on NSE anyway.

Hi ,
This is a very valuable thread. :)
Can you give me the link to NSE Indices "bhavcopy" ? Essentially, the file containing the open, close, high, low, volume and turnover of all the indices on the NSE.
I have looked around but all I have got is a link to the Daily Outstanding Shares and Weightages for some of the indices ie S&P CNX Nifty Sec, etc from the page
http://www.nseindia.com/products/content/equities/indices/indices.htm

But when i try the download the historical data from the page
http://www.nseindia.com/products/content/equities/indices/historical_index_data.htm, the number of available indices are way more.
Am I correct ? If so, can you point me to the correct links

Thanks for reading
Amit

For Complete List of BSE Scrips,

1. Go to BSE Helpdesk Link given below
http://www.bseindia.com/help/
2. Download Scrip.zip (bse scrip master file)
3. Extract and open Scrip.txt file with excel
4. Do Text to Columns using pipe( | ) as a delimiter
5. This is complete data of BSE Scrips
6. Insert a blank row above the first row to add titles

For title row containing column heads,
1. Open Scrip.doc and copy entire data to new excel file
2. Copy all rows and paste special to empty cell (tick transpose)
3. Now copy this entire row with column heads to your scrip file's top blank row.

Wolla!! Your BSE Scrip file with all details is ready to use....

Hello,

here is one such effort, to get the list of scrip codes in BSE, as well sector classification:

http://stocktrendsindia.appspot.com/BSE-Scrip-Code-Name-Sector-Download.csv

If you would like to get the historical price, volume data, visit individual scrip link in (http://stocktrendsindia.appspot.com/list-of-companies-traded-bse-stock-scrip-codes.html), and you can download the data. It's in the same format as that of bhavcopy, but the data is for the selected scrip.

Example, infosys histoical data, use the link

http://stocktrendsindia.appspot.com/bse-hot-stocks-shares-traded-IT-sector.html#500209

Please let me know if you have any feedback.
