Hi,
I have few queries on BNF,pls do reply.Overlook mat karo bhai pls.

My idea is to do BNF scalping for 20 points.I will take 2 trades a day.
Queries aisi hah-

1)How much slippage/order jump do we generally face in BNF?
say I want to go long BNF at 18000 using SL-M order type, what price generally it should get filled?

2)My RR will be 1:1.To catch 20 points,my SL is 20 points.
Is 20 points SL too small for BNF?

Please read "Bollingerworm" thread in the forum. It's a contra strategy which has good potential.

Instead of 20 pts, use ema2 high/low as the stoploss.

hi, it seems u forgot brokerage . even if u r charged 20 rs per order, taxes will be there.
so keep r:r as 1: 1.3 atleast, i.e if 20 sl means 25 pts should be target.

Btw i guess 20 pts for bnf is too small.

hi

trading bnf for a 20 point gain with a 20 point profit can be difficult.. slippage would depend upon where exactly you have put your sl... even at random numbers , 4-5 points is very common in bnf.. assuming you are putting sl at some important price point.. like round Nos.. (you example of 18000) or day high/low or important pivots... the slippage can be much more.
hope this helps

Hi friend!!

I would like to share with you my experience regarding this. First of all do not make any target of 20-30 points, means no fixed target, what if market is willing to give you 200-300 points on a fine day. :)

Second, there is no 2 trades per day system, usually 1-2 trades can happen if your system has 40-60% probability of success, 0 or 3 is rare.

Regarding R:R, again is a myth, you can not decide how much R:R can be possible in a trade in real time. Yes Sl can be fixed for sure, and best you can do to move it aggressively when trade is in your favor.

Slippage does not happen usually if you operate with 2-5 lots.

The focus should be to enjoy the process and take what market is willing to give with open hands rather concerned about per day how much I can make.

Thanks
