I am having a really hard time finding out the right broker who offers actual margin requirements using SPAN on option spreads, futures and any combination of futures and options. SPAN recognizes every spread on same underlying and exchange uses SPAN, but the brokers keep saying exchange does not recognize spreads etc, which is hogwash as they have to just send net risk exposure margin on all trades. I have read few posts asking for same, but no body who posted has an answer. I would really appreciate if some one who actually using a broker that allows spreads can reply and point me in the right direction.
Any options traders out there, what broker are you using and how are you coping with margin on covered strategies (verticals, credit spreads, short straddle (should take only one margin of either call/put), condors etc.)
